Alright it's that time of year again, Scallop season 2008. Come to the Homosassa and Crystal River area from July 1st thru Sept.10th and join in on the fun. The scalloping beds are normally between 4 and 6 feet deep, which makes it fun for everyone. We supply mask, snorkel, fins, catch bag and fishing license. We are conveniently located approx. 1.5 hours from Tampa & Orlando, and 1 hour from Ocala. Trips are $50.00 per person, minimum of 6 or pay for 6 people. Tours are 6 hrs in duration. We leave MacRae's of Homosassa at 8am and return at 2pm. It's a 30.min cruise out the beautiful Homosassa River to the Gulf of Mexico and the Scallop Beds. Scallop limits are 2 gallons whole per person and 10 gallons whole per boat. If you clean the scallops before returning to the dock, the limit is 1 pint of scallop meat per person, with a maximum of 1/2 gallon per boat.
